1. Basic Claim Conditions

Valid Policy Policy must be active on accident date/time.
Insurable Interest You must own or have a financial interest in the vehicle.
Valid Licence Driver must have valid licence for the vehicle type.
Permitted Use Use vehicle as per policy (no commercial/race use).
Immediate Intimation Inform insurer within 24 hrs.
Survey Before Repair Damage must be inspected before repair.
True Information Details must be correct; false info causes rejection.

2. Documentation Rules

4. Deductibles & Depreciation

5. Claim Rejection Reasons

  • No valid licence / drunk driving
  • Policy expired / illegal use
  • Late intimation / no survey
  • False or misleading information

6. Time Limits

  • Report within 24–48 hrs
  • Submit bills within 7–15 days
  • Theft: Final report up to 90 days

No Claim Bonus (NCB)

NCB in a motor insurance policy is a reward given by the insurer to the policyholder for not making any claims during the previous policy period.

What is NCB?

  • NCB is a discount on the Own Damage (OD) premium of your motor insurance.

  • It is given when you renew your policy and have made no claim in the previous year.

  • NCB applies only to Own Damage cover — not on third-party premium.

  • If you make a claim, NCB becomes zero at the next renewal.

  • NCB can be transferred to a new vehicle (if the owner’s name is the same).

  • If you sell your car, you can retain your NCB certificate for use within 3 years on another vehicle.

  • You can buy an NCB Protection Add-on to keep your bonus even after one or two small claims.
